Artists Philosophy

Recycle, Repurpose, Reduce & Redirect
My Philosophy behind my Art is to Recycle, Repurpose, Reduce and Redirect.
I Recycle as much material and objects as I can when I am creating my pieces of Art and look at things in a different way - "one person’s trash is another person’s treasure" !
My family laugh at me as I struggle to go for a walk or travel anywhere without stopping and collecting bits and bobs which end up being brought home and used in my creations. I find the collection process just as much fun as the creating process.
I love the idea of being able to give an object a new life and Repurpose it for something completely different than what it was originally made & used for.
By Recycling and Repurposing I feel like I am doing my bit to help Reduce waste in our society.
I have decided to Redirect some of the sales from my online store to support a couple of causes that I personally relate to.
20% of the "Gift A Kiss" promotion will be donated to the Breast Cancer Society and up to 5% of all other sales through the online store (excluding the "Gift a Kiss" or local artisan products) will be donated to Westpac Helicopters.
So with every purchase that you make through Studio 1012 you will also be supporting either the Breast Cancer Society or Westpac Helicopters. So enjoy browsing and Happy Gifting!

Supporting Breast Cancer
"Gift a Kiss"
With each purchase from the Gift a Kiss Collection - 20% is donated to Breast Cancer.
Each block is made from a recycled pine block of wood which is cut, sanded & painted.
Each block has a "kiss" added which is made from recycled found objects.
Dimensions of each block is approx 9cm x 9cm & 4.5cm deep. They are ready to hang or you can sit them on any surface or shelf.
Each Kiss Block is unique in its own way and I can make to order i.e. a specific colour that you would like if there is not one in stock.
Share a bit of love to someone special and "Gift a Kiss" - xox
